At Nu-Set, we provide you with the products you need to keep you coming and going with securely locked and accessible entryways. Choosing an entry door lock is an important decision in order to make sure your home or office is as secure as it can be. Customizing door locks to serve customers’ needs is a special service that Nu-Set is distinguished for. Not only do we offer keyed alike (KA) door locks at no extra cost, we can keyed alike door locks to your desire keycodes. Another common door lock feature we carry is the master key (MK) system. A master keyed system refers to a set of locks consisting of multiple keyed-different (KD) door locks while a master key can still open all the door locks in the same MK set. MK door locks are most commonly used in apartment buildings and dormitories where each tenant has a unique key to his or her own unit while the property manager has a master key that opens all door lock in all units. Less commonly known outside the construction industry is the Protect-a-lock (PK) system. This unique keying features works like a temporary mastered lock system. The mastered key feature in a PK system ceases to function when the original KD key is inserted into the door lock. PK door locks are generally used by builders and constructors who must have access to multiple units. Once new homeowners or occupants take possession of their properties, they disable the constructor’s key by inserting their homeowner key into the door lock. If these door lock systems aren’t complex enough to fill your specific requirements, Nu-Set offers you our mastered keyed locks with protect-a-lock (MPK). The MPK door locks provide 3 important functions that make these door locks a better choice for giving you peace of mind that your office or property is secured without sacrificing convenience. Combining MK and PK lock into one door locks means you don’t need to change locks after the constructor key has been disabled to retain the mastered key function. In a MPK door lock, the master key works simultaneously with the PK key allowing property owner and constructor to enter all units. The homeowner key will disable the PK key but the MK key remains operational. MPK is a particularly time saving and economic solution for new apartment or rental property construction or renovation projects.
